We support a wide range of individuals: scientists, clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals to conduct high quality research in the area of paediatric medicine.
Our Grant Award Schemes
The National Children's Research Centre supports research into the cause, prevention and cure of childhood illnesses, with a view to developing optimal medical care, through a series of grant awards.
Our Research Facilities
The National Children's Research Centre offers state of the art laboratory facilities in our recently refurbished laboratories; we are also developing a Paediatric Clinical Research Unit.
Our Research Programmes
The NCRC's research has an exciting new agenda and challenge to meet in order to continue its historic contribution to paediatric knowledge and in trying to solve the mysteries of childhood illness and disease.
Irish Paediatric Research Network
The NCRC hosts the Irish Paediatric Research Network (IPRN), providing advice and support on all aspects of clinical study design and management. This is a portal to key national and European clinical leglislation and will provide a clinical study toolbox to help establish paediatric clinical studies.

The funding will cover a 3 year Clinical PhD for the study ‘Resistant Hypertension Post Aortic Coarctation Repair- a study of hypertension patterns and a potential solution’
Our Seminar Series
Communication of research findings is a fundamental part of the scientific research process. We hold regular research seminars, given by our own and invited researchers on a wide variety of research topics of interest to those in paediatric medical research.

Project grant awards.
Deadline for submission February 1st 2012 ; decision notified June 2012.
MRCG/HRB Joint Funding Scheme.
